Description
A Universal Testing Machine is an essential piece of equipment used in material testing to evaluate the mechanical properties of metals, polymers, concrete, and other materials. It applies controlled tension, compression, or bending loads to a test specimen to determine characteristics such as tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, compressive strength, and modulus of elasticity.
The UTM consists of a load frame, crosshead, grips or fixtures, and a load cell connected to a digital or computerized control system.
